OH pretty Jackie and your welcome!!!

Gautier, MS

Very pretty Jackie. I wanted to know if this one is the same as the one known as Bold Miss that I heard of somewhere? Cause it was on my list.

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Y'all are coming up with some names I never heard of. Pretty blooming vine, Jackie!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Ronnie, Helena and Becky.
Helena, I don't have a clue but I guess it's entirely possible if it looks identical to this one. Has yours bloomed yet? When it does, we can compare.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Helena my original seed came from a trade as "Bold Miss Piggy" I didn't care for that so I just called it what I thought it looked like, a bold pink...Do you have the 'bold miss'?

Gautier, MS

Ronnie, that's the one I was referring to. I just omitted the Piggy. No I don't have it, I only traded with a few people for mg seeds. I do like the color & bloom.

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

This should be a Split Personality 'Pink Split Petal ' opening.

Ron, I can't get a good close up with this camera. I have a few pics on the disposable which may be clearer as soon as I can get it developed.

Helena, I still have some left if you want some.

Gautier, MS

Yes Ronnie thanks, I'd like a few but do you want wait till the end of summer when I'll have seeds to trade. I'm starting to collect a few seeds from some of mine mg's already. The special ones will probably take a little more time.

patootie-jackie - The photo here

shows Ipomoea nil type sepals and is an Ipomoea nil...

Put a few seeds aside for me if at all possible...

Thanks...

TTY,...

Ron

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Ron, will save you some seeds for this fall. Looks like it will be generous
with seed production.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Helena, will definitely want to trade in the fall. I will put the seeds aside.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Blue Tie Dye NOT yesterday. Original seeds from Park Seeds.
All my blooms are slow, few, and far between. I have started using
Bloom Burst to try to speed things up.
So hot here now, the bloom edges are curling under early in the day.
Not a great bloom, just sharing since pics are coming in so slow

You'll have a veritable JMG party there soon, Jackie! Nice blue on that one.

Joseph

Thanks Joseph. I do hope you're right. lol

How common is it for I. nils to have heart shaped leaves? I don't think I have grown any so far with that shape. Very nice vine you are growing, Jackie! :-)

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Becky.

Becky -

"How common is it for I. nils to have heart shaped leaves?I don't think I have grown any so far with that shape."

You seem to have answered your own question as the trilobed I.nils are much more commonly seen...

TTY,...

Ron

I have a few MGs growing along my back fence. Can't quite reach them because they are at the back of my garden bed.

Not sure which vine this bloom came from. It was half solid color and half pattern. Caught my eye. Sorry it's not a better photo. And the rust has now spread to these vines, too, by the looks of the leaves. Grrr ...

This is Pink Porcelain. It is displaying that soft shimmery look today! Always a favorite of mine. :-)

And this photo of Ipomoea hederacea. The flowers really are this darker color of blue. I noticed in PlantFiles many photos show a much lighter color of blue. Reminds me of a Japanese painting! :-)

They're all pretty Becky. Hederacea is lovely in dark blue.

I took this the other day must not have posted it.

All nice ones, Holly!

This one looks like Crimson Rambler http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=5300796 and makes such a beautiful vine, doesn't it?!!! :-)

Kittrell, NC(Zone 7b)

Beautiful blooms Jackie & Holly!! Becky I just love your Pink Porcelain!!

Gautier, MS

All the blooms are gorgeous.

Becky I'm curious to find out if Pink Porcelain originated from your seeds in your garden???

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Becky, That's Split Personality 'Pink Split Petal. It is really putting on a show and I just love watching the Split Petal emerging. They are so pretty unfolding.

Thanks Melanie.

My JMGs are starting to flower up and I have a few photos to share with everyone here.

This one is Asuka JMG. I really like the coloration on this flower!

Here's Berry Ice, from Laurrie a couple years ago.

Thumbnail by

Compare it to Xiong's Chinese MG...it seems from the photos that Xiong's has a little white in the tube, whereas Berry Ice may be solid reddish color. I will have to look at the flowers more closely in the next few days after the rains stop.

Thumbnail by

Last one that was flowering was a JMG that came to me with a very long name, 'Ki Chirimenba Shiroji Murasaki Fukkake Shibori Daizaki'. The flowers are larger on this plant this year, I think due to the better nutrition I am providing the containers. It has a flower about 2 inches in diameter, blue speckles on white background, and in the tube you can just barely see the reverse tube.

Joseph - WOW! IMPRESSIVE!!!! The Asuka JMG is a especially lovely! The blooms are as interesting as the leaves on all these vines! Some really nice new MGs! Thanks for sharing photos of them with all of us! Quite a treat! :-)

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

WOW Joseph. They're all beautiful but the Asuka is striking.
Love the colors.

Kittrell, NC(Zone 7b)

Joseph, I have your Xiong. It is the only one that I have that has very litlle rust on it. All of my others are not making seeds but Xiong is a seed making machine!! The color is awesome!! I just wish that a camera could get the true color right. Thank you!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Beatiful Joseph!!! I ♥ this one!! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=5309892
