Mouse? rather It WAS a mouse. lol. I'm just guessing. Voles and moles are smaller in size, and I don't believe they have white belly.

Voles tails are much shorter then that field mouse...

Thanks, Deann. I went looking for photos of voles. They also have ears that are really small & close to their heads. Some varieties have white bellies. They are usually brown.

Looks like what we have here that we call Kangaroo mice or rats.
Field mouse type critter.Long back legs and short front legs.
Eats seeds I think.
Kangaroos might have longer tails though,I think they might also have the little tuft of fur at the end of their tails.
