My mom wants me to ask all my new friends at DG if we are supposed to do something with those funny looking pods left after stella d'oro is finished blooming. Cut them off? Leave them alone? What are they, anyway?
stella d'oro lily question
They're seed pods. The chances of the daylilies reblooming are better if you cut those off as far down as you can reach. Besides that, they don't look so good. Plants flower in order to produce seed and thus reproduce themselves. Sometimes the seed aren't noticable, but these are very much so.
Thanks for the tip!
