October Round-Up in south-western New Hampshire

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

I can't wait to see all you guys. Nance, I so wished you could have made it, but as you say, there will be other RUs ... somewhere.

I am going to have to start a list of attendees, so I can warn the neighbors about parking ~ LOL!! Can't you just see me knocking on their doors and asking ... 'excuse me, may we borrow your lawn for parking?' And then to see the looks on their faces when I let them know about all the wonderful plant people who will be visiting the neighborhood.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Harper - we could probably just talk that long!

Craryville, NY

Candyce: I will see how far you are from me. We run a Sanctuary for ElderAnimals and Special Needs Animals, so I can't be gone long - and I am not only the founder, but the Chief PooperScooper and LitterBox wrangler. I would LOVE to jump right into this newfound community with both feet. If I can't find a replacement caretaker for that date, you'll all see me at the next and nearest RU! It sounds like mucho fun! And lots of tip-trading!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Welcome, Morrigan!! I applaud you most heartily for the work that you are doing. I hope we do get to meet you at an RU soon!
Louise

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Me too, Morrigan - it is so hard when an older pet is left behind. I'm dealing with that myself, right now. You couldn't have joined us at a better time - I need all the help I can get.

Craryville, NY

Thanks, DOnnieBrook! You guys awe me....how many people are gardening organically in this forum?

This thread is hiding on page 2, so now back on page 1 :-)

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

morrigan!

We'd love to have you join us, if you can make it. You are doing such winderful work wirh our furry babies. I admire ANYONE who can do that kind of work. It would be an honor to meet you.

So, let us now as the date gets closer, if you'll be able to attend.

In the meantime, I am composing a Group List in my mailbox so that I can d-mail everyone who has accepted, or think they may accept, the invitation to the RU so far.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

It looks like we may have thirteen DG people for our Round Up so far. I hope we can get a few more to come and visit.

Craryville, NY

Yes, I will let you know, Candyce. AYankeeCat: What do you need to know? How can i help???

Thomaston, CT

Can't wait to meet everyone! I've been eyeing the plants that need dividing---that of course, will let me plant more!

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

Welcome Morrigan...hope you can make it... this is the best people in the planet!!!!

Craryville, NY

Kassia: I have to agree, this is an amazing group of people! I can't wait to meet you guys. :-))) I am so glad I stumbled across DG! Where else would I be able to meet people to learn from, share jokes with, and garden with, even if it is virtual!

Central, ME(Zone 5a)

Candyce,
Sounds like a great time and I would love to come. NH is my old stomping ground.
It would be nice to see a wish list if people are looking for particular plants.
Cyndie

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Morrigan - Here is a link to where I posted on the pets forum about the "new" cat at my house. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/874428/

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend, Cat. Had a lot of that myself lately and it seems to keep going. I hope you find a great home for Sam.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Hooray, Cyndie. I'll add you to the list. And, upon your suggestion, I will begin a 'Plant List' via d-mail blast.

AYC ~ you are a very special person, and Sam is very lucky!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Hey all ...
Sorry I've been incommunicado, but an old house, old phone lines, and too much rain makes for sporatic use of the internet.

Are we all still on for the 11th of October? Shall we talk about it?

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Sorry, but I probably can't come, Candyce, because it is the week before my DSS's 2nd wedding and this one is an even bigger production than his first. Everyone will be in a tizzy. I'm his favorite mother, too! ^_^

South Coast, RI(Zone 6b)

Candyce - The 11th is good for me.
Donna

If it was New Years Eve I would be grounded.

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

I am still planning to go! :) the 11th is good for me!!!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Carrie:

What a glorious reason for NOT coming! I hope all goes well for the wedding, and we will be thinking of you ...

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

(I am his favorite mother, too, isn't that odd? He calls me just to talk a few times a week, more often than his father, absolutely more than his birth mother. Who'd have thought things would have turned out like this?)

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

I would believe it. I have a few 'kids', (actually some now grown-up Girl Scouts I used to lead) that still call me on a regular basis ~ and it's been over twenty years since I was their troop leader! And they call me 'mom'.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

^_^

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

I'm still planning on coming!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Whoo Hoo!

Central, ME(Zone 5a)

I am still planning on coming - as long as you tell me where you live. ;-) LoL
I just realized that the date is leaf-peeper weekend. We were thinking about coming down, staying Sat. night somewhere, and doing a driving loop through our favorite old haunts in NH and Vt before we head home. The Monadnock region is great and I miss it sometimes.
I better get going on the reservations!

Atkinson, NH(Zone 5a)

We are still planning on coming

John and Liza

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

I may be able to drop in - we usually do a NE trip for my bd around Oct 7th, which is a Tuesday, so it would be either w/e. so, if it fits in, I may at least stop in for a bit.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

I just LOVE it when people drop in and stay for a visit! I'm getting excited about holding this RU here.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Won't be able to come - y'all have fun anyhow. You sure don't need me to tell you to do that. Judging by all the posts in the NE forum - it is a pretty fun bunch.

Mid-Cape, MA(Zone 7a)

Candyce, can't believe I missed seeing this thread until today. I'm soooo bummed that I can't come to the Oct. 11 RU at your home (we have houseguests already signed up for that weekend.) I'd LOVE to see your gardens and NE forum RUs are always great. Seeing the peeps and plants is so fun.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

I'm still hoping I can come!!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Emily, you will be missed!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Oh, Bummer, Emily! I was hoping to see you again! It will be so much fun to see everyone and to enjoy Candyce's lovely gardens again! Debilu - I sooooo hope you can make it this time!!! Good planning on your part! LOL

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Oh, oh, I would love to come! I was hoping I would find a round-up for this fall. I would like to bring my father and a friend or 2, if that would be okay. I have lots of plants for trading!

Karen

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)
