HELP! White flies have taken over my yard!

I have a bad infestation of white flies. i have a small lot (about 1/3 acre) and white flies have taken over everything. Any suggestions for what to use to spray the whole yard? thanks, julie

They are everywhere. On one of my walks, I stopped to look at a plant along the side of the road, and it had white flies, too. So, even if I spray my yard, am I going to get them back? julie

EW! They sound nasty. I definitely don't have them. Thank goodness, because after reading over the comments, it sounds pretty ominous if you do. I wonder if we post in the Bug & Insect ID forum, maybe someone could get us some answers?

Thanks, ecrane3, for the link. I've cut my confederate rose shrubs to the ground. They were the plants that were so infested that all the leaves were black from the sooty mold. I don't want to spray anything that will kill beneficial insects. Honeybees are scarce in our area, and I don't want to contribute to the problem. I think I'm going to try biological control and hosing with water. Thanks again for all the help. love, julie
