Kassia it's funny how now that I read your comments I can hear your voice saying them.... can't wait till we meet again!

Love the Amethyst Temple, Celeste! (Funny, in 3rd grade i had a crush on a boy whose last name was Temple...) Sue brought me some blue-eyed grass (that i asked her for) at the RU. It sure doesn't grow all by itself here! But somehow i imagine all sorts of magical things growing all by themselves together in the Pixie garden!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Great shots, everyone! My gardens are looking rather ragged and ratty at the moment. Between the rains, the heat, and taking care of the kiddos, the only looking at my gardens has been through the windows this week! I hope that I can make some time this week end to get outside and weed, and rescue.

I have been waiting for days for thrYellow buds on my Brown DL to open.
Here it is true to the catalogue, "Starling" picture is lighter than in real life, flash ruined it,cloudey and rainy here but couldn't wait.

Nice Jo Ann, isn't it great when they bloom within a few months of planting?

Closer look, it's really a pretty rose....just useless. It's floppy and has no smell.

I thought I had lost this one , she never bloomed last year and didn't look very well. DH went and cut down a tree so this portion of my bed could get more light this year.. I keep my dark colored ones in places with dappled or shade from the hot afternoon sun. I guess it was in too much shade as she's fine now and blooming.

Good for Bella, like it when they respond to the environment they like.

It seems to have the same shape, but you did just plant it so I would say it looks great even if not like the picture. Next year it will look more like it's supposed to. DL take 3 years to settle in and look their best.

I agree about the ageing but the petals of the one I have are pointier ans edged with yellow.
B&D 's are more round and recurved and no other color is persent. I'm going to look at the catalog to find it.
