'Hensol Harebell' Columbine??

I read about this particular columbine in a book about the best perennials for IL, but haven't been able to find a source for one anywhere...........
It's supposed to bloom for a couple of months, according to the book ~ does anyone know about it, or where I can find one? Am I on a wild goose chase?

This variety of columbine is also known as granny's bonnet. It is sold at Annie annuals, but is out of stock it appears. You can make a wish list and they will notify you when it becomes availabe.

I have been looking for Hensol Harebell for a while, too. I had some seeds, but no luck germinating them. One British site I found, listed the Hensol Harebell Columbine as 'rare'. If you do have any luck finding them, please let me know!!

I have been looking for "Hensol Harebell" since I saw it on a Victory Garden episode some 15-20 years ago. It is a hybrid of A. alpina x A. vulgaris. You can get a full description of it along with a list of all columbine species at:

T&M doesn't have the seed. I recently found a similar columbine on ebay but I am not sure it is Hensol Harebell. Don't recall Hensol having chartreuse leaves but as it says on the zipcodezoo description, "Species of Aquilegia are polymorphic and difficult to define adequately".
