Thanks Marna...I'll dmail ya!

Your island is just beautiful!! If I were a Hummer I'd want to eat there..it looks like a bed and breakfast for the birds! Sometimes it takes awhile for them to find you...the Juvies should be around soon so maybe they will show up and claim your yard. Best of luck!! I think the reason I have so many is my neighbors are hit and miss in keeping their feeders fresh and filled and the Hummers have been showing up here for years!

Not a sharp pic but his ruby throat is so pretty.

Beautiful rose.

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

LOL Rose, he sure is sexy, and proud of it too.
Marna , you will certainly see activity soon, with that Island. Will be very welcoming to the small creatures.

Thanks everyone..I will sure be lonely when the Hummers go south!

Sweet shot Burn!

Our Hummers seem to be having a contest to see who can eat the most. Honestly I think everyone in the area must have taken their feeders inside!!

I was taking some pics this morning and finally was able to get a pic of a Juvie. Here is the first one...

Second is Granddaughter welcoming female ruby throat. Her only comment after having 3 females and a male visit her feeder was "cool"

Oh beautiful Frank, nice action shot.
Another shot of profile, I thought it look kinda neat with the sky and clouds in the back. This was taken this evening.

This was also taken this evening, on sunset setting, I find cropping with a sunset setting doesn't work very well, if i want to crop it. But at least I got it in the flower.

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

yay Rose, your a Gramma, congratulation, cute baby boy.
I'm still not good at IDing babies, and some of the others like female purple finch and sisken. I think I had a house finch here tonight, with a baby cowbird, I'll have to ask you know who.
Now this I know is a hummingbird, but female or juvie, you'll have to tell me.

Now where did my pic go?

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

I can't see anyone pictures from today. I thought it had to do with the site, but from everyone's comment, I can see you guys can see the pics. Has to be my PC. Can you guys see the last pic I posted?

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

LOL Nanny and Mrs. Ed!!

Burn...the only way I can tell a male juvie is they start to get sort of a 5 o'clock shadow in their throat area. If the sun hits it just right you can see where the ruby color is starting to show. I still can't tell a juvie female. I used to think it would be the smallest but I recently read that the mama hummers will lose almost half their body weight by the time the babies are raised!!

Dave's is having some problems right now so that is probably why your pics aren't showing up. I can't see the pics you posted. Some people are seeing pics and some aren't..! They are working on the problem.

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

Thanks Rose, I was wondering what was going on.

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

Pic seem to be showing up now, so I'll try posting that pic again.
