When one places a mail order for a perennial and the item is tagged "Available Fall 2008", does that mean it should be planted in the fall? I want to order some bee balm. TIA!
Question about planting times
All that "available Fall 2008" means is that's when the nursery will have it available for sale and/or shipping, it has nothing to do with when's the right time to plant. Since my zone is nothing like yours I couldn't tell you if fall is a good time for you to plant bee balm or if you'd be better off waiting until spring--hopefully someone else who lives near you will know!
