Eggplant not growing very fast - Could use some advise

Lebanon, OH

I planted 2 Eggplants(purple large) on 5/11. It's been a particularly cool and wet spring here in Southwest Ohio and the temps are just starting to turn normal(mid to high 80s in the day and mid 60s to mid 70s at night).

My other veggies(cukes, tomatoes, zucchini, jalapeno & Bell-Peppers) seem all to be doing well. I've picked a few cukes, a few zuchinis, Roma tomatoes everywhere etc. But my Eggplants are only about 12" tall and only has 5-7 leaves. They seemed to go into a growth spurt when we had a week of weather in the high 80s and mid 90s but now they seem to be stuck again.

The bigger of the plants has 3 of what seems to be tiny beginnings of flower buds as of today.

Can someone tell me if all is well or not? I'm a novice at gardening but I think maybe they should be bigger than 12"(?). I mean they've been planted for two months now.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :-)

Eggplants like it hot so im sure it will start to take off now that the weather is returning to normal. also hanpolinate those buds otherwise they probably wont set fruit. the first set of buds uasualy dont unless you hand polinate them.
