For the past three years I've grown butternut squash and I've only been able to get one squash per vine. After the first squash starts growing all the other female flowers abort before blooming. The plants get plenty of sun and look healthy. What can I do to boost production?
Butternut squash is not productive
If every thing else is growing well, I think I would try a different cultivar. There is alot of difference in production among the various butternut cultivars. If other plants are struggling or your butternut vine is puny, then look into fertilization for next year.
