Please HELP my 'A.B. Fang' Plant!

Minneapolis, MN

I purchased an African Felt Plant (Fang), or Kalanchoe beharensis 'Fang' a few months back that was just beautiful! A while after purchasing I noticed what I thought to be a mealy bug infestation..:( So after a couple months of 'proscrastinating', what I first did, was coat or clean the leaves w/rubbing alchohol, then I used an insecticide for houseplants (sprayed both sides of the leaf until run-off) and repotted the plant. Now, When I repotted the plant; I put a good 2 inches of gravel @ the bottom of the pot and used Cactus Mix soil. Approximately 10 days later, I redid my insecticide treatment even after losing about 3 younger leaves near the bottom of the plant. I just assumed these leaves were newer and smaller so they weren't able to handle the treatment...or bcz they had turned partially yellow to all the way yellow and were mushy feeling I thought maybe they got too much water from the repotting, insecticide and then being so close to the soil. So I didn't think much about applying the 2nd treatment. But now, days after the 2nd insecticide treatment not only do I STILL SEE MEALY BUGS!!!! But I see a few more leaves, some of my bigger ones turning yellow! :( They are also losing firmness! I'm so afraid my baby Biiyaata (yes I named her) is going to die! I don't know how I could replace her as I've never run across her but this once?! What can I do about these mealy bugs? What did I do wrong? Can I use the leaves that have partially turned yellow, chop off the yellow part and attempt to root them?? Please help me! I'll be so upset if I have to say Goodbye to Biiyaata! I've included a couple pix. But this is her before the insecticide and before I repotted her. She was flourishing!
