Is there a real difference between these two plants? By looking at the pictures they both look the same to me.

Salvia farinacea Evolution and Salvia farinacea Victoria
They are not the same plant, a lot of times different cultivars of the same species will look very similar, but in fact there's always some subtle difference. It does make you question why someone bothers to make a new cultivar sometimes though when they do look so similar! 'Victoria' is an older cultivar that's been around for a while, 'Evolution' is a newer one which I think is supposed to be a deeper violet color, but that may not show up well in pictures.
