well do tell tam what breeds do you have. My 1st batch the crested are in a stage now of not quite so cute most all their wing feathers are in and some have tail feathers but still have the fluffy neck and head. They are 14-15 days old. Boy can they fly tho. One jumped up in my hand yesterday while I was grabbing a feeder out.

yes they are bad about the flying around. It is utter turmoil in there at times. but no on is getting trampled to death YET. I have got to get the big ones out of there. Just the basic and table scraps. If I dont feed them table scraps they mope around, I kid you not. they are mini vultures.

i think i have a blue polish who is a keeper, maybe some golden laced polish, and one Appenzeller Spitzenburg. [sp?] hoping also to have some mille fleurs, i got one out of the last batch... seem a lot of really tiny ones, like fancy jap bantams or dutch or OEGs... there is less assortment in the crested, as far as i can tell. but as they feather out that will tell a LOT...

Dentist will do that Weds (or hopefully save what's left of it). I will await peachicks. Found some for $15 each about an hours drive & I have the time? / space set up to take care of a few. Maybe 3-4 or so........then I saw some ducks to; but..................

ha ha ha....would really love some more ducklings....but NO funds so the chicken fairy can not visit me right now, sad to say. Hopefully I will be able to another time the chicken fairy calls......

Not on your life! Every time my ducks see me they start making sounds like the Penguin on the old Batman tv show. Most annoying sound in the world! Not to mention that they're now flying about 8 feet off the ground!!!

Are you sure Molly? You have all those too small pools just setting around hoping for some more baby ducks to go swimming in them! and....you can have lots of pairs later and sell them........

Mine go Quack Quack Quack just like the Batman's Penguin! They sound like they're laughing it. Mine aren't suppose to fly but I think they didn't read the manual cause they're getting off the ground very nicely.

i have ordered, for next week, with my bantams and pullets... 10 rouens, 5 buffs, 5 khaki campbells and 5 fawn runners... something like that. half crested and half not crested...
i suppose i could really drive her nuts and change mny order!
