Does anyone know why young green tomatoes, about the size of "cherry" tomatoes drop off the vine? These are Beefsteak tomato plants and they are in a 4x4 raised bed with Mel's mix (square foot gardening) plus I also used some additional fertilizer and bone meal before planting and just recently the same again after plants were full of green tomatoes and blooms. Some of the plants are also looking wilted and I am hoping it is not some virus or wilt that can't be fixed. I have watered as consistently as possible--meaning not scientifically but just using my best judgement along with testing with a moisture meter. Thanks for any advice.
