Broccoli help

I have just started my first vegetable bed and planted among others four broccoli plants. They are all growing, but the one that is growing fastest has no broccoli on it, in fact 2/4 plants have had the broccoli eaten off. Will the broccoli rreflower or am I finished for the season? Also, what is good for keeping bugs away? I use bloodmeal around the plants for squirrels and bunnies.

It depends on the variety of broccoli you planted. Some are good at putting out side shoots after the main head is picked.

I put ziploc bags around the heads to keep the pests off.
