Victor...let's hope not. Its taking out 40% of the eggplant crop in India. Read one account of farmers who will not eat their crop because they have to spray so often to have a crop. Cornell and scientists in India are working on putting genetic material from Bacillus thuringiensis in eggplant to fight it:

Louise - It's tougher to clear it out once it's already there. Is the scab on the leaves or apples? Can you reach the whole tree to spray it?

Al - the scab is on the apples. It's a big tree and I have been reluctant to use any kind of spray that might kill the bees, etc.. I'm not even sure it is technically scab. It just looks like it....little blemishes in places all over the apples.
