I had to run DD to Grandma's house. She went into hospital last night. They are not sure what is wrong with her, but she hasn't been eating and her stomach has been upset. This is my Ex's mom, but we have always gotten along really well. Anyway she is showing improvement and is coming home this evening. So took me a little while to get back home.
Anyway....Here is my Hunk LMBO!! I told y'all I wasn't feeling well so anybody harmed by this picture has been warned LOL

OK here's a pic of the kids at the main parade. Our "town" has several village. Each village has a parade and then there is a main one. Zeke rode in the village parade since it's smaller and shorter. My neighbor has those pics on her camera.

On my way home from the hospital, I had to stop at Lowes for a washer for leaky sink. Of course I had to go to the restroomj which is all the way in the back by the tile section. But things happen for a reason LOL. As I was walking down the tile aisle I looked up and saw these....is this a fairy path or what???
They are made to be tile borders and are mpunted on mesh. They run 3-5 bucks each. You can get large sheets for around $10. thye have some with more formal patterns (maybe for a resort??) Anyway couldn't pass them up. I haven't taken the plastic off of them so thats wht they are shiny, but they are really natural looking. These 2 cost $7 for the both of them

I had some tile strips I bought as sample to use when trying to select things for the bathroom downstairs. Humm, need to find it as it was in stips like that and stone like. Thanks for posting, I had forgotten I had them.

Yep... that would make a mighty fine path in a fairy garden... BUT, I have way too much tile left over from past projects, and way too much other stuff laying around needing to be used up to go buy anything else... I think there is some mosaic tile squares around here somwhere, I'll have to find those... just thought of a purpose for them. The resort will just have to be happy with scraps...

You all are really into this fairy/gnome thingy....Think I'll be much behind in creating and developing a mystic kingdom. Picked out a very shady spot, next to hostas, and that's about all I had planned!!! LOL!!!
A very kind sistah graced me with my first fairy, now I can brag I have one from the ethereal land. My 2 LSU gnomes need to be out of their collegiate mode, standing next to this lovely, lovely, fairy.

This morning, for the first time since I moved here, we had a deer visiting us. The zoom lens went into digital mode, as it was about 30 feet away, and hence quite blurry. Right away Kel said he's not about to tell his hunting friends that there are still deers in the woods, in front of the house.

Can't think of killing Bambi..

LOL watch your hostas, my front yard deer have wiped out my Hostas, my Caladiums, my Angel Wing Begonias, Sunflowers, peruvian lilies and my red and purple oxalis. And it looks like someone has been nibbling on my Butterball Hibiscus. They don't look so Bambi like after that LOL.

Lucky you BJ, I don't have any extra pieces of tile floating around here. Just a few sample pieces when I was working on the bathroom down stairs but as I said, I had forgotten about it so searching I shall go.

Oh my Jaye!! Better not let Kel tell his friends about the deer. We have them in our neighborhood but one would be in serious trouble to bother them here. Funny things is, this area back up to a hunting area and starting about October will be when we start seeing deer everywhere. They're not dummies!!

LOL Tom Selleck. Years ago, my then boyfriend's mom asked me to bring her home Tom Selleck in a box on one of my trips to Hawaii. the closest I could come was a pin with his face in a pretty little jewlry box. She liked it though!

Oh Jaye if my DH attempted that Keith Richards Swagger, I might worry about him. LOL I think Johnny Depp may be the only man alive that can pull that off and still look sexy...Even Keith Richards can't!! LMBO!!

Well, Marion.. I'd send you some of this tile, but the postage would probably be enormous.. just as cheap to go buy it... DS laid our tile, and we had the design all laid out on paper for him to go by... then I couldn't find the paper it was drawn on, and I tried to remember ... long story short.. I redesigned the detail work, and ended up having to buy more trim pieces, which left us with a bunch of whole tiles left. Then, the frugal person I am... wouldn't let him throw away any of the cut pieces or broken ones out... and that's what I'm using...
BUT I'll probably use the whole pieces on the porch when we do that.

Oh thanks for the nice thought! I think my DS might have some in his workroom from their bathroom. Well check with him when they get back home. I'm think about some of the stones to put in vases of flowers or if you have peace lilies with the fighting fish in the bottom of the vase. I also have lots of rocks, we had picked up over the years -----remember hubby was a geologist. I don't think I will need much for the area I am starting out as my Gnomedominium.

I don't think so. There is a picture of one like that in a book I bought several years ago. Can't remember the title but it is full of recycling things plus other ideas for planters, birdhouses to build.

Have to see if I can locate the book and give you the title.

BOY did I mess up... I'm feeling like I had a LUCY moment today...
I've glued a lot of stuff today... and used my computer desk to do it... scrunched everything to the side to make room.... and I can't touch any of it for at least 24 hours... not even to move it another place so I can spread out. It's a little cramped here now... sheesh. What a mess. I tried to clean up some, but touched a piece and ruined it... had to start all over. And I thought I was doing soooo good.

Without our Lucy moments, there'll be no blueprints to perfection.....
