Came to realize that I'm 2 years old today!!!
I know, y'all gonna say that something's not right in Jayeville!! If you could consider I had my heart replumbed precisely 2 years ago, then I am 2 today!! Cardiologist says it's like being given a new heart. ^_^
What a day...celebrate America's Independence and my heart!
So tonight, I will forgo hotdogs and chilli and will go for that Brazilian food :D Thank you Lord for giving me another chance!

Linda, I am so grateful that Kel stood by me all the time. Having no family nor friends here in NC, poor Kel is my Florence Nightingale. He made the 1 and a 1/2 hour trips, one way, for 11 days. Could have stayed in a nearby hotel, but he wanted to make sure our fur babies are okay and the plants are watered too.
Yes Marion, he is a keeper.

Well, he told me to get something special today. Wanted another brug, (like I don't have enough) and got sniped on eBay!! Don't you just hate the last minute snipers with their programs? It's "Dola" and according to the seller, it's pretty hardy in the Southern heat. So anyone out there lurking, and do have "Dola", dmail me pretty please!

Hurry up and win the lottery Linda...so you could get that jet, pick all of us up, and we'll have a maaaahvellous time in the Caribbeans!!!! Wouldn't that be nice?

Jaye, in honor of your personal celebration, and to celebrate our country's independence... I've given my brugs their own independence. Well, three of them anyway.. .the other two are still just little babies... they'll have to wait. But, those I put out in the Tropical garden last week, just to see if they'll like it... have adjusted very well. So, today mommy dug a hole and let them come out of their pots to spread their wings (roots). All to honor your BIG day.
Oh, and such well behaved little brugs they are too... they each one said "thank you" in the softest, sweetest little voice.

bj-do you think i should free my potted brugs? will they be in full sun? i wonder if i am keeping them from blooming by keeping them potted--

Well, that's kinda what I thought... mine are in full sun until late afternoon... and Jaye said that's ok... remember where I showed you they are? by the gazebo?... it gets really hot down there, and even in the pots they seem just fine after a week.

ok--my brugs are joining in the independence day breakout!!

OM MY... all these brugs are getting their independence on the 4th of July in honor of Jaye's ... ahem... 2nd b'day...

the heck with fire works--we have brugs!! and they are coming out of their pots!! and in honor of jaye's 2nd birthday!!

Well, back to work... air conditioning break is over ... got things to do before the fireworks begin.

Jaye, this makes the 4th even more special for you!!! Double celebration for sure. How lucky you are and so happy heart is going strong!! I heard of several hubby's on here that I am sure are keepers. In fact, they all are or you ladies wouldn't be with them--that's for sure.

Snipe is when someone overbids you on your eBay auction when there's only about 5 seconds left, so you have no time to respond. It's a program they use that corresponds to eBay clock. I always forget about snipers, cause I love the challenge of 'upping' bids until the last minute.
I can't beat snipers, as I'm on dial-up :(
Never thought it would happen on brugs, normally it's luxury items.
So, next time, I just have to bid as high as I can....and pray!

Good Morning Sistas
I hope everyone survived the fireworks last night, and what ever festivities they attended. All I did was walk across the street and joined a neighbor and about 50+ of their friends for a fish fry... then I left when the fireworks started... was a miserable night here, hot, muggy, no breeze... so, I ran back home to my air conditioning.

BTW... remember a few weeks ago when I lost my dogs? They never showed up anywhere. Well, last night at the fish fry, I found out that other pets have come up missing too. The lady across the street is missing her cat, 8 days now. And another neighbor, 2 streets over lost his dog about the same weekend mine went missing. Coincidence? I wonder.

Sounds like y'all have a petnapper lurkin'!

Now, I wonder why anyone would want to kidnap some mutts. They weren't even puppies or kittens that would sell... all older dogs and cats... it's a mystery.

Maybe someone's trying to "clean up" the neighborhood! We had a man poisoning animals in my town years ago. So sad.

None of the pets that are missing (there may be more I don't know about too) were strays. None of them roamed the neighborhood on a regular basis... mine just got out of their fence, and now I'm not convinced that I left the gate unlatched... maybe someone came in the yard and let them out... like I said... it's a mystery.

Yes it is, BJ. I feel your pain. I lost a favorite cat, and never did find him. It would have been better to know for sure.

Oh BJ that isn't good news or a good thought!! We had that problem when we lived in Gainesville but then we had registered beagles so understood why they were taken. Someone must have really loved electric fences to get to ours!!!!

I am so sorry your puppies are still missing but I tend to agree with you. Don't think it is an accidental missing. Sad to think there are people in this world who would deliberately take other's pets. Stop, get off my soapbox!!

Hope all are well today--recovered from over eating, fireworks and whatever.

I need to make myself work in the "dungeon" today as son will be back tomorrow and want to put up more drywall Monday after work.

Marion, if they were registered and valuable in the breeding world, I'd almost understand... but ours were fixed... and I know the cat was fixed... don't know about the other dog... and they were all mutts... cross breeds... nothing special. No value to anyone but for their love and affection... just doesn't make sense that someone would want to steal them.

Ours very more valuable for the hunting in the area. I know it doesn't make sense but unfortunately there are people who hate animals that will do things like take others--valuable or not. Doesn't matter to them. Sad thought isn't it.

I do so hope all the missing ones are okay where ever they are. Again--I gotta stop soapbox to small for this issue and my feelings.

How's the dungeon coming along?

Pretty good, took a tea break. The biggest part has been getting all the "stuff" out so we can put up the last section of drywall. Most of the stuff is needed in the remaining area---ceiling fan, new outlet covers, wood for molding-top and baseboard. Actual sheets of drywall themselves--take up a huge section of space!!! At least I can see the beginning of the end now!! Yahoo!!

Yep... that light at the end of the tunnel is a wonderful sight, isn't it?
I know that feeling when we're doing our bigger projects around here.

Yeap a good feeling!!! Actually I think getting into DG's might have been what I needed to get my motivation back. Got it now and I need my room for all the project running around in my poor, hurting, aching tired brain.

Hey every one! Had sucha busy day yesterday, paying for it today. Think I got a hold of some bad stuffed jalapenos. You know food outdoors...Anyway kids had a great time, and Marion, you make that hat look good girlfriend!!

Sterling says thank you sooo much, she is even taking it to her Grandmothers to spend the night LOL. She can't be parted from it!!

MY DD is laughing so loud I can't hear myself think. "A kid after her own heart" she says. Don't tell but her's goes everywhere with her--and she is well, shall we say older?
I am so happy she likes the pillowcase. Oh my what a beautiful daughter you have!!!
