Ok I take back what I said about begonia in your other post! ^_^

Olga, WA(Zone 8b)

yes, it's about six feet tall at this point and doesn't seem like it'll stop growing anytime soon!

Conroe, TX(Zone 9a)

Maybe it's Jack's beanstalk! Seen anyone with a cow in your yard lately? :o)

Are the leaves getting any bigger? Reminds me of kudzu.

looks like a kiwi vine sprouting. My hardy kiwis look like that when they sprout.

Beautiful, BC(Zone 8b)

Yes, definitely a Kiwi (fuzzy).

Actinidia deliciosa http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/58337/ - the one you see sold in the supermarket. The new growth is long and elongated with redish fuzz on the stem.

hmmm . . . so is it kudzu or kiwi?

juliaQ, can you find an image of a single kudzu plant showing the whole form?

Bella Vista, AR(Zone 6b)

It is probably more likely kiwi, especially since the map in this link shows where kudzu is found...and it is not typical for Washington state. Kudzu vines have big three-part leaves, that's why I asked if the leaves were getting bigger. It is most probably NOT kudzu.

Actually the current USDA map does show kudzu occurring in Washington and Oregon (the one in your link is from 2003), although it's probably not as widespread there as it is in the south.
http://plants.usda.gov/java/profile?symbol=PUMO To me though the leaves still look a lot more like kiwi.
