Hello, everyone! I'm a new member to this website and a rookie gardener, or as I like to call myself - "gardening dummy". I have learned quite a bit, but something is stumping me. When bulbs are listed as being size "#1", what does that mean? How deep are "#1" bulbs supposed to be planted? The specific plant I'm talking about is the Allium Flavum. Any help anyone can provide would be very greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Bulb sizing and planting depth
Size #1 means the largest size for that plant. Not sure about Flavum but the rule I use when having to guess is, depth should be twice the diameter, 1 inch bulbs 2 deep , 2 inch bulb 4 inches deep, so on.
Thanks :)
