Hi all!
I'm new to gardening... I found this beautiful plant (My strong guess is that it is a creeper) in a local nursery here in Chennai (Tamil Nadu, India) and grabbed it immediately. I don't know its name... Can anyone help me identifying it? Is it the Golden Trumpet Vine? Coz the flower seems similar but I can't really tell... Help me...
I also have another concern about this beauty... Today, a beautiful bud fell off this plant (or creeper) and I became concerned. And I also noticed something... There was a different shade of green in the plant (or creeper) which made me doubt if it is not happy... I cricled the dark green spots in red for you to see it clearly... Does this cutie require immediate attention? Should I be worried about those dark green shades on the leaves? Or is it normal? Help me....
It looks like you have Allamanda 'Silver Jenny', which is a variegated form of the "Golden Trumpet Vine". This particular variety does produce irregular darker green spots among its silver-green leaves like yours is doing, so no need to worry about them. Also, this one doesn't grow as vigorously or as tall as many other Allamandas; its habit is more like an arching shrub than a vine.

Thanks a bunch :) It somehow feels great to know your plants' identity. Yesterday a bad thing happened... Someone plucked a beautiful branchlet from this beauty and plucked off the leaves! Why would anyone want to do that! I was almost crying, my eyes welling up with tears when I saw it. Here's what's left of it now (with it's two branchlets plucked off and leaves at the bottom torn :(( ) So I decided to fence it now.
Okay I also have another variety of Jasmine that needs to be given a Proper Name... Here's the pic....
And a close-up... Here in Southern Part of India, it is called 'Nitya Malli' which literally translated into English means 'Daily Jasmine'
After a bit of googling I see that the above creeper looks like Star Jasmine ( Confederate Jasmine). Am I right about my guess?
I've got another creeper that needs a name too... I tried googling this too but couldn't find something really close... ay be close to Frangipani??? Or does it need to grow a bit more to be able to identify?
I don't think your jasmine is Confederate/Star Jasmine (Trachelospermum jasminoides) as their leaves are simple (a single oval leaf which attatches directly to the stem), not three-parted like yours.
I found a website which allows the user to search by Indian name, but wasn't able to find a match for "Nitya Malli". But, you might want to look for yourself...

I really can't tell what the last creeper is. Probably needs to do some growing -- at least for me to attempt to identify. ^_^
Oh! That website is my fave and is the first one I hit upon when I started looking for creepers as I was not good at identifying plants, creepers, and shrubs (I'm still learning... getting better I guess)
The last creeper was actually almost completely dried when my mom got it from my aunts' and I thought it wouldn't survive as the few leaves on it began falling off, but from the past week it began giving out sprouts and I was almost jumping at their sight. It is called Sampangi in our regional language, but again there's another Sampangi which is a shrub - Ylang Ylang (http://www.flowersofindia.net/catalog/slides/Ylang%20Ylang.html) and I cannot find the botanical or common English name for this creeper Sampangi
By the ways, I went to a local nursery and bought few seeds and plan to study a bit about how to plant each before I get my hands dirty with mud. Here's what I got:

I got no idea what the words in brackets mean. If anyone of you have any suggestions, tips & tricks to plant them, grow, them and maintain them, my hearfelt thanks to you all :)
I'm just so excited that I simply wanna pour them on the soil, but wanna do some study on them before I actually get to doing it.
By the ways, I also planted two cuttings from Oleander Plants that a friend of my mom gave me yesterday and I still have a Jasmine shrub to be planted (which again was given to me by the same person), which I think is the Arabian Jasmine 'Maid of Orleans', but lemme get a pic of it tomorrow and let you experts to correct me.
And did I tell you about the betel creeper? Here's the pic...

Name of the jasmine creeper is "Jasminum azoricum ". Its also called as "sannajaji" in AP.
