A woman called me asking if I had ever heard of a vegetable called Potata Salsa. She is from South America, Chile I think and used to get them at home. She describes them as growing like a sweet potato, but very light and fluffy and with a flavor something like celery root. They can be cooked or fried like "yucca"? She would like help finding them.
South American Root vegetable called Potata Salsa
Are you sure of the spelling? I googled it and came up with nothing.
The only thing I can think of is the Jicama, which is sometimes called the Mexican potato.
