Water gardens were abundant as the gardens were built around a water treatment plant.

Water creatures were in evidence, as well.

I don't remember what these are. It was a name I recognized but a variation I hadn't seen before.

I love the ones that are variagated or a color other than green. But, I love the greens too! LOL So refreshing.

There was so much to see that we didn't get to it all. My feet were giving me trouble. We did see the Rose Garden and others but I'll save them for later.

On our last night in Keizer, my DB and DSIL, Scott and Carolyn treated us to dinner on a riverboat! Scott and I took different lenses for our cameras and had a photo-fest! LOL

A hotdogger boatman who almost killed a jetskier! It was a cool shot but...the jetski is on the other side of the spray.

Oops! Wrong pic..I can't find it! Waaa! Anyway, no one got hurt is the main thing.

We saw an osprey.

That is a gorgeous spot of earth! You must get SIL involved on Dave's with gardens like those we can learn from her! Thank you for sharing these pretty pics!

(Zone 7a)

Thank you...it awesome there. We so didn't want to leave! LOL

I got my brother on it. She doesn't use the computer much except for her teaching.

There is so much to see and do, we couldn't possibly get it to all in one trip! We have many years to look forward to!

Final look at the water before departing the Willamette River.

I must get some food before I post the last pics.

Okay, one turkey salad and tortilla soup later...

We met with a good friend of mine (the one who offered me a job in Medesto, CA) for brunch Friday morning. She had another friend with her and we had a good time visiting.

Kristi and me.

On the way to the airport in Portland, we got pics of Mt. Hood.

And a not-so-good one of Mt. St. Helens.

When we got home, we were greeted by a fire that was started by a passing train. It started grass and skipped to a few businesses. As of 1:30pm today, the fire was still smoldering.

Great pictures! Sorry I don't know what the unknown flowers are. They're different from what we have down here.

Taylor Creek, FL(Zone 10a)

Loved your vacation Celia.
Thanks,

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Oh Celia, those are great pictures! Glad you had a good time, now I know of a place to go vacationing LOL

Santa Fe, NM

Kwanjin, loved the tidal pools and those orange and purple star fish! Nice photos.

(Zone 7a)

Thanks again, everyone. I hope to see you all there next time! LOL (I'm serious.)

(Zone 3b)

Surprise again~~small world, isn't it, on DG...love it.
Did you see the P51 Mustang at the Tillamook Air Museum? Just so happens, we are in contact w/ the 354th Pioneer Mustang Fighter Group that flew those planes. Wonderful group group of men.
Really loved the "inland" visit you shared. Glad you had such a wonderful vacation.

(Zone 7a)

Yes, the Mustang was there. We didn't get to talk to many people, though. We got there kind of late.

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Great, great photos, Celia! I feel as if I was truly able to share in your vacation. Such great beach shots and the sea creatures and your SIL's beautiful flowers and the air museum (shhhh--don't tell Pau about that--he'd be up there in a jiffy!) and the Oregaon Gardens and the riverboat and Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens and your own flowers and those feet--LOL and it looks as if you've had a haircut since I last saw your photo? All in all, it looks as if you had a truly wonderful and relaxing vacation! Did you find a place and how soon are you planning to move? LOL
You should post some of your SIL's flowerbeds over on this thread: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/868368/
(tell them I invited you to post over there--only they don't know me as "mau"--LOL--only as marsue or Marilyn)

I'm glad you had a good time but it's good to have you back home.
Hugs!
Mau

I lied about the Mustang. And wrong picture. I remember there was a sign for it but someone had it out flying somewhere. I looked at the tiny thumbnail and assumed...one propeller, two...what's the difference, huh? LOL Forgive me. I'm a little dense sometimes...

Our view from inside the beach house.

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Wow--what a view!! Do they rent out their beach house?

(Zone 7a)

No. DSIL,s brothers don't play well with others.

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

LOL--I don't blame them.

(Zone 3b)

Very cool view, kwanjin~an ocean veiw is hard to beat. I certainly understand the mix-up. Been there a few times, too:))
