New Hampshire, NH(Zone 5b)

Victor - have you ever posted any shots of your garden beds from a distance? Judging from the huge variety of blooms you post, your yard must be gorgeous!

I haven't taken many lately as I'm still trying to get everything planted, but here are a few from today:

Ok folks I am pretty excited about this ONE BLOOM!!! It is from one of my babies on my pergola - Clematis Ville de Leon. It was the only bloom and it just bloomed yesterday!!!

Dawn:

That's a beautiful clem, and I love the color. Did I hear you right? There's just one bloom on the whole plant? How old is the plant? I'm going to assume first or second year, as you called it a 'baby'.

Victor.... it was fun seeing you over my way yesterday, probably not quite the sort of pics you were asking of the area, these are more of a "micro-area", but some are broad. I'm usually update these pretty regularly, especially since I'm a little behind.

Good morning all! I'm off to bed for a while.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

RC Good mornin.
I see you use Picasa, I just downloaded it and can't figure out how to controle the images I want to send from all the images in the file that was downloaded.
Picasa sucked up ALL my image files.
CRAPS.
I chose "webalbum" but can't seem to only choose the omages I want.
I'll keep working at it.
It's a better way of sending multiple images ,than re-entering DG and the last thread and posting from there.

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

ok, lets see if I can do this. So you are looking at the entire folder of pictures right? Click on one of the ones that you want to keep or move or whatever. It will appear in a little box in the bottom left corner. Next to that box are a few "bottons" add, remove, Hold, etc. then click on Hold. It will hold that picture that you just put in the box.

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

then go and left click on one of the other pictures that you want to hold. It will then be down in the box in the corner again. click on hold again. just keep repeating that process. If for some reason a single click on a picture doesn't work, then double click it. But, that's not the typical case.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Those are fantastic pictures of the trailing in those fabulous woods.
It's nise to know Walt Disney doesn't controle every place we want to be.

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

once you have all the pictures that you want to put somewhere else in that box, then you can select "web album" "email"........"export". If you're trying to do what I did up above in that link. Then, that's definitely web album, which you knew.

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

Thanks, I had really good crew in most of those pictures. This years....ahhhh....hmmm...so so so far. Yep, hard for disney to find us out there! although we do find an occasional mouse or two out there. Just a little smaller is all!

Did that info help? I can give some better info when i get up again. I really like Picasa. I find it really easy to use and just the right amount of editing features for not trying to be a professional photographer. and they makes it really easy to move an entire batch of edited pictures to either email, web albums, web sites, printing. etc. don't have to do that all one by one.

I LOVE YOU RC
I will practice today.Figure the RU DG'ers are sleeping in, posts will be few.
Loved the Nanna Hosta and Pulminaria.
Great bunch of rafters and hikers too.
Wish I could still do that stuff, but time has taken its toll, keep on with it, those scenes and experiences will not come again.

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

Thanks Jo Ann! You're way too sweet. You'll have fun playing with all that. Maybe you'll be able to link us all to a web album before lunch! I agree with you about being out there. I hope to never have to give it up. I go at it a little slower than I did 15 years ago, but I still keep ahead of the crews and every year the crews bring about something different. The rafters were also part of our crew! the river is too swift and deep to swim (it's the same one that goes behind my house) with our work gear. It looks calm on the surface, but there's a undercurrant. so we improvised a raft on a guide cable. that was fun!

It was all those REaaaaaly old trees and mossy roots that got me.
Being with young people never gets tired.
I was an "older student" when I went to college for real, and had great times with classmates that were 15 years younger, they brought me such pleasure.
The crew looks great, I didn't realize you were working, thought it was a fun weekend outing.

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

I agree! they still get me going ... those trees and snarly roots. and most of the time I think that the teenagers help keep me from feeling old an you definitely have to keep ahead of the game with them. a few headaches here and there though. Sounds like college was a lot of fun for you! that's great. Yep, that's one of my jobs. But, we were only working in some of the pictures. I took a lot of them during our end of season (for them) party/lunch and another when we celebrated getting the work done in the area that required us to use the boat! Normally they're not really allowed to hang out by the river and goof off. But, they deserved it.

Just skimmed the albums, Sherry - thank you - they are gorgeous! I'll go back and look more slowly. Nice clem shots, Dawn and Christina. Christina - yes, I have posted wide shots and will continue to do so throughout the season. Thanks.

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

Very nice pics...

Victor, I have snow queen too...she's still small, I can't wait for her to get bigger. I did get a few blooms off of her though!!

Here's a lily from Oakes..I have to dig for the name..it's at the base of the plant somewhere.

Anita that is one beautiful lily.
Just went to HD for slug poison and bulb food.
Why did I think I could just come home with that.
NO I bought three new Astilbys and was looking at trellises for the walls of the house on the west garden.
Anyone have a suggestion? I was thinking two in the middle between windows? Don't be shy.
