I planted corn. It seemed to be doing really well but today I went out and it was laying on it's side! When I looked at it I could see something moving in the stock of the corn! Little bugs....little white bugs! I have had worms, I have had leaf footed nymphs and now these!
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong!!! I had a beautiful garden until it started getting veggies. As soon as I started to get fruit I got every bug known to man! I have tried Neem oil, soap, and finally sevin dust. NOTHING seems to make the least bit of diffference.
I wanted to go organic and bought all my soil and made raised beds. I live in Florida so I think that is part of the problem. If I got rid of one thing I got something else. Raccoons, critters of all sorts. Do I have to get a green house? I am serious..would getting a green house help?
Thanks..... :-(
Corn! I went outside and it is all laying on it's side!
Are you corn plant small or already established. The reason i ask is.... I had same problem when the corn was 1st coming up to about 6 inches tall. Laying on the ground............my critter is Crows. I went and purchased every cheap wind chime and whirly things I could find at the dollar store. So far that helped. Plus I keep my husband shirt hanging on a fence post.
Hope you find a solution.
