RU trade/share list

I know I am not going...BUT, we need to so have a Fall RU...I have elephant ears at the wazoo, more DL's than I can shake a stick at, hosta galore...and probably several something elses..

I'm gonna miss everyone at the Spring/Summer RU :-(

This is last year's. It got close to 5 feet tall.

Wow, yes definitely! i found quite a few varieties in PF. Perfect for up by the woods!

Candyce - lily of the valley, etc.
mellymass - magenta hardy geranium
nanegoat - lavender monarda
Dave47 - magenta hardy geranium
Harper - daylily
Sherrie - helianthus, heliopsis
Kassia, Michaela, Pixie, Amy & Allison.....nothing for you on my list?????? Did I miss you???I'll have some other plants you can "shop" from if you want, but I'd like to make sure you get something I'm bringing if you want anything!

If there are enough, I would like these from the following:

Candyce - magenta carpet phlox
nanegoat - lavender moonflower vine
Allison - boxing gloves coleus
Carrie - Purple Palace heuchera
Pixie - white lilac
Liza - blue iris
Harper - red yarrow
Amy - pink gazanias
Kassia - primrose

Dave - bright eyes phlox

I think I omitted some names from my list on the other thread, so I'll do a double check and edit this later. Please let me know if I have omitted someone's request. I have extra lily of the valley, and some ferns that someone else wanted.

Amy - the list is right above your last post. Those are the plants I have to bring, and I will have some of those same plants that aren't yet promised to anyone in addition to those I listed that I have set aside for people already.

Here is a picture of the yellow evening primrose taken yesterday afternoon. They have just opened.

15-20 Siberian Iris ( looks like pixie is bringing
1 Meadow Rue - appr.16 inches tall
1 Laminum- Red Nancy ( is actually pink )
5 ea.Castor Bean - 8-10 inches tall
5 Gladiolus bulbs - 'Windsong'
5 " " - 'Romance'
5 " " - 'Blue Bonnet'
5 " " - ' Comet '

Even though I have not alot to bring ...It's great to share :-)

That sounds like quite a lot to me, Brigitte! If you have any glads left over after others choose, I'll happily give them a home. My DH loves to grow them!

It's a get together. Any plants are an added bonus.Folks, especially (new gardeners )should not feel compelled

Experienced RU attendees, please advise: Should we put tags or plant ID sticks in each plant with the name of the person giving the plant? I'd like a reminder of who gave me the plant when I get home, as I know I won't remember them all later. I was planning to put the name of the intended recipient as well as the name of the plant on the tags of those that are promised. Any thoughts from anyone?

Louise, I'll say: YES. It's so easy to forget who gave what, etc.

I appreciate all information, but it's certainly not necessary. One of my favorite plants - and, officially, as of today, my husband's favorite too, is a NOID sedum I got from I don't know who at a RU two years ago when I was a new DGer.

Now, down to business. I realize I will NEVER get around to potting up the other 6? 8? broccoli and Savoy cabbage plants I bought. We just are not vegetable growers, and I'm lucky I can get anyone to eat veggies, but I thought home-grown veggies might be more appealing. I got 3 spinach plants growing in pots - the bunnies ate the rest. Will anyone take these tiny neglected vegetable starts?

They're yours. I only got the savoy cabbage because of Dutchlady's article, so now I have one in a pot and 7 outgrowing their nursery flats.

Edited to say that you two can duke it out like ladies. These are Home Depot veggies, and they haven't been transplanted forever.

o - i was hoping for the spinach!
i don't know if i have time to label all my plants before the RU - maybe i can do it on the ride up! After last October's RU, i wrote the name of the person i got each plant from on the plant marker i made, so i do know where i got them all from.
i have a bazillion multi-colored popsicle sticks i can bring as interim markers...

About a month or so ago, someone said they'd bring me a PUSSY WILLOW cutting to the RU. Do you remember who you are? I don't!

The bunnies ate most of the spinach, sorry, Amy, and the rest is nicely potted up and not neglected!

You may have the lilac. It will be only about 3 or 4 inches tall, and you may have to baby it through this first season.

I'm bringing 3 rooted lilac babies, a couple of pink bleeding heart plantletts and a lily-of-the-valley. I have seeds from my hellebores and bleeding heart and some purchased seeds. There are 3 hostas already claimed by Celeste. Then there are the boxes and boxes of tulip bulbs (yellow and/or red we think) for which I'm bring paper bags to carry them home in. See everyone tomorrow!

Brigitte and Cat - I'll loan you my boxing gloves and let you decide who gets the cabbage. All I really wanted was the brocolli, so you two can fight over the cabbage!

Amy - please do bring the popsicle sticks. I think they will be very helpful for ID purposes for everyone.

I am bringing 120 plastic plant tags. I only have 1 Sharpie Ultra Fine Point marker. If someone has one bring one so we can have extra.

hey hey I am right here, leaving for Mass.this PM.....taking grandkids to the museum...will have to dig up plants when I get back,will get Name tags somewhere,so far I have not seen any in 2 stores.
