I have a couple in the yard, new to me this year, that I am blaming on excess water. I am guessing that they have been waterlogged and stressed. Apparently, no matter how fine the drainage, some lilies just can't take in all this water.
Summer Lilies 2008 #2
You mean plants don't like 5 inches of water in 4 hours up here? hehe
The bed they are both in drains too well; that's why I am guessing too dry, in spite of all the rain we had. All my property dries out too fast and I had to start the overhead sprinklers today. We just don't get the rain here that they do even 20 miles from us.
Don't you all think Liliana looks like botrytis? I'm having a terrible time this year fungus / leaf spot, etc..
I think you're right, Moby; my Liliana looks almost dead; will curious to see if it comes back next year. I can't complain to lose a few . . . am new with lilies and probably terrible about how I plant them . . . ordered so many, I'm still enjoying the show . . .makes me want to get out of bed in the morning. LOL
tlcgarden, beautiful blooms!!!
Very nice! :)
So nice... 'Trogon' is a unique little specimen. Like that one a lot!
Wow, such beautiful lilies, everyone! Love that "Divine" and Chippendale, Tracey - you're right! I don't think I have ever seen a lavendar lily in that shade before - it is very unusual. Really like your LO. We do have the same tastes LOL. I am looking forward to seeing your season progress.
That "Summer Night" is awesome - it almost glows! I almost ordered "Red Velvet" that has a similar look. Anyone have any experience with that one?
I have some Gren Crus planted too, Moby - thanks for posting - a very pretty lily. And that "Vamp" is wonderful - where did you get that one??
Congrats on your Silk Road, Kim - you'll find it gets bigger and better each year!
^_^

Beautiful!
Summer Night is very much like Red Velvet but with a black sheen. Vamp came from Lily Nook.
Does anyone know how to find the last year co-op thread? I thought I remembered all the ones I purchased but I have a couple that I am not sure about.
Thanks,
Teresa

'Moonyeen' martagon
Maxine, hey, this is the one I got when I was with you at the Flower Factory.
And thank you Steve for the kind words.
'Red Velvet' is wonderful, but I recall I had such a tough time getting a good picture of it last year. The richness of the color is really quite charming.

I like NAOMI. Looks like it would show up well from a distance. Orange Tiger looks like it will be nice once it gets bigger. Does any one have any ideas on the name for this one. I thought it might be Pink Pixie because of it's small size, but the photos in the plantfile don't really match. It's about 24" and came in a sack of mixed brushmarks ones. It might be taller in a better location.
Oh Mags, now I wish I had asked you the color of that martagon.
Love it!!
Now how can I get back down to the Flower Factory?
Maxine
Glad you like it Maxine. You inspired me to get it you know, with all of your martagon photos. I have a few, but am looking to add a few more to my high shade area. they seem to like it there.
They've had 'Moonyeen' the last few years,it wasn't until I saw a picture in a magazine that I knew I would love it. So if you make it down next year, you'll have to add that to your want list.
So many nice lilies from the Northwest you guys. Some of my most favorite ones come from that area ;)
oooo, lilyfan! Doeskin's a beauty, color is splendid!
