I want to propose a new forum for miniature or fairy gardens

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

I think this is a great idea. I saw a topic thread in the Cottage Garden forum about fairy gardens. Tabasco has included many links to fairy gardens just in case anyone is interested in taking a look see. If it's a redundancy, please excuse.

Seedpicker, I like your idea of collecting inspirational pictures for an ideas folder. Just brainstorming, could doll furniture work as well for hardscapes in the fairy garden?

haigr-I think the one you are referring to is one of the tiny thymes.

Deborah-yes, some of the bests sites are the dollhouse ones, but you have to make sure they'll hold up to outdoors(if yours is going to be outdoors).

I intend to clear coat that little white arbor I want to buy, before setting it outside.

I was talking about the one with the tiny pink blooms next to the armillary are those thyme? BTW where did you ever find a mini brass armillary. We have a full size one in our garden.

LOL love the Leisurely Persuits idea!!! That would be the way I go!! Oh, I do hope this materializes as it could be so much fun learning and sharing with all.

I, too, collect gardening ideas and put into clear pockets I put in notebooks that are labeled. Great to go back and review, then use as a basis to do something in/for my yard. Hey, I could be doing worse things!!

Doll furniture--super idea. Just so happens I have some of the small cans of Cabot outdoor finish that would be the perfect size to keep on hand for such projects.

I would love a forum on fairy or gnome gardens!

Haigr-Not sure about some of those plants...that is one that was NOT done by me. I just posted it for inspiration and to show a great example of a miniature garden.

Sure glad your baby is better Samigal. Guess I have been lucky none of mine have ever noticed the foxtail.

Gilmer, TX(Zone 8a)

Has anyone talked to admin. about a forum? I probably missed a post about it, but too lazy to go back. Sure would be easier to have in one place. Going all over is gonna give you a headache or a stroke!!! lol

Becky try to calm Lissa down!!!

Santee, CA(Zone 9a)

Rainey.....mmmmffff Mawissa wants a Fairy Garden so Mawissa gonna get a Fairy Garden...LOL!!! Luv you Mom ;o) hee hee hee

Gilmer, TX(Zone 8a)

You are nuts. What lissa wants lissa gets. I'm going to hang around and learn how. I've never heard of it before. I hope they get a whole forum, they have everything else as a forum!!!

Santee, CA(Zone 9a)

Rainey, they even have a farm like 20 mins from my house that has all these cool little fairy gardens around. I'm gonna go check it out, beside they have a couple siamese kitties too and you know I can't resist a siamese cat!! here's the link

but they also sell fairy garden supplies too ;o)

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

When do you think we will know if there is going to be a forum added or not? I am getting anxious now--this is contagious.

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Oooooh! I checked out that site. I'm hooked! But, I really can't get started with this! To expensive! Sigh. Tempting!
But they're soooo cute! No, no, I can't! Somebody twist my arm!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

We're twisting Audrey. You'll do it!! If we offer you some Baileys? LOL

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Hmmmmmmmm!

Gilmer, TX(Zone 8a)

keep you hand away from that send button!!!!

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Thanks, Lorrainne! I needed that!

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Oh WOW! What a great website! Love all the miniature fairy stuff they are selling. We definitely need a forum to come up with ideas to make this stuff CHEAP. You know there are ways!

Is there an online website that sells the fairies? Anyone know?

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Target has a bronze fairy that is laying down with her feet propped up reading a book. That one is so cute! Course it's a larger statuette but hey, it's a sweetie.

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Thanks, Deb! My garden beds are looking great now after 3 years. I am trying to start adding garden art to add some whimsy around the garden beds. I just love the Fairy garden art!!! Too cute for sure! :-)

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

How long before we know about the forum? Morning Deborah--where you been?

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Becky, someone put these on here, Enchanted Fairy Gardens, and another called Summers Past Farms Fairy Gardens. You might have to Google them, but they're adorable!
