Schizophragma hydrangeoides 'Moonlight'
These spots have occurred for the last two years near the worst of the heat season so I've always put it down to scorching, but now it's appearing early and on the flowers. Am I dealing with a fungus? Here is a photo of this year. I'll add the end of last year in next post.
False hydrangea vine spots.
Boys! Whatever it's. It's a serious infestation, I was wondering if you can take a sample of the affected leaves and flowers to your cooperative extension office and ask them to diagnose for you? I've one that's 5 years old before it bloomed beautifully for me this spring. I'd stand by your post to see if anyone else would recognize the problem. Good lucks.
