Pink rain lily
Tropical Garden #12
phughes, you might want to put coleus or some other color for when the plumbeagos are not blooming. I have gotten quite a few good ideas from other gardeners' pictures.
In this basket I have a copper leaf plant, sweet potato vine, thunbergia battiscombei, and will replace the yellow firecracker plant that died. it is different, but I like it.
Texasbigleaves, your garden is looking very good, thanks for posting your pictures.
I did not know that the Snowbush blooms, it is very pretty.
My bougainvillias are starting to bloom, but they do not look that healthy. I see that you have your pond up and running, I am still working on mine. I had no idea that the pumps cost so much.
My baby Bridal Bouquet is about to start blooming. Jerry
The bigger the pond and the bigger pump and a big water falls the bigger the $$$$$$$$$$ Luckly the the pond you gave me fits in the only place i had for it. The little pump is about the smallest they make and it cost about $30. Jerry
Texas, your variegated Monstera is a stunner!!!
Good idea on adding coleus to plumbago pot; I'm a big coleus addict and have a couple of different trailers. Thanks!
Where's mine???? You gotta send some my way remember!!!!!!!
Ohhhhhhhh I'm so jeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalous!!! I - WANT -RAIN - TOO! lol
Randy, The ? in the pic. looks like something i've seen before BUT WHEN? Poison arrow vine? I do'nt remember that name. I wonder if Rita got one? I wish Rita would make a trip down so i could come too. HINT HINT! Jerry
Everytime I read this thread I add another plant to my wish list!
hahaha, me too!
Texas, I love your bouganvillea. I grew up in a tropical region and my grandmother had a humongous vine growing over the side of the house and she had a swing right under it. Whenever I see it, it reminds me of my childhood. I hope I am making those kind of memories for my kids.
Texasbigleaves, Rj is correct with the ID, it is a poison arrow vine. Your garden is doing so good, everything is huge compared to mine. The sun is killing my plants. I might have to limit myself to flowering tropicals, I enjoy them just as much as the aroids
As of now, I will not be able to go to Houston, but my situation might change.
What is wrong with my leaf?
Where ever did you find a pink ixora? I've only seen the yellow and the melon color and they are pretty predominant here in South Texas. I love your pink one!!!!
Rosy Dawn has several trailers. Take a look to get an idea of some of what's out there. I think it's too late to order from them this year but you can at least see pictures. I actually found a Strawberry Drop this year at my local WM plus I had managed to overwinter a couple of pots of it on the patio which we covered with plastic during the winter months.

Phu, thanks. I got those few years ago at HD. It's been very slow growing.
You guys are going to get me in some serious financial trouble, hehehehe....
