I have a brownish/rust orange fungus growing on my mulch. It doesn't seem to be effecting my scotch brooms or other perennials but what is it and how do I get rid of it? Thanks!
Brownish/orange fungus????
it all depends on the type of wood bark you have, but if it is not affecting anything, why bother, but all wood bark mulches do some strange things when they rot down and the wood starts to decay, some of mine sent out mushrooms all over the place, no harm done but I was too afraid they were toxic mushrooms as I am not an expert on them, so just give it a rake over now and then so it gets air at it and as it rots down it will stop sending out unsightly funguses, you will soon see for yourself if it harmful by the rest of the plants growing in the mulch. Good luck. WeeNel.
thank you soo much!
