I would not think anything that pretty would be a weed. Must be a ground cover but I don't know what it is.

Looks like creeping charlie, maybe. Does it have a faintly minty smell? If so, just make sure it doesn't get into your grass. It is HIGHLY invasive. I'm fighting an ongoing (and mostly losing) battle with it right now!

Creeping charlie doesn't have flowers like that. It's some sort of Geranium, some are weedy and some are well behaved

It's Erodium reichardii and is in the Geranium family.
It is a good tough groundcover. Not sure if it's considered a weed, but I have it between stepping stones and it's never been a problem.
