That's what I did in my garden today. It is windy and cold out there.

Willow - Please extend our gratitude to your wonderful Grandson for his service to our country. Will keep him in our prayers, also.

Nice pics - I have so much blooming that I'd like to share with you all, but by the time I get home from work, the position of the sun (sun? what sun?) is such that it makes for shots with poor exposure. Perhaps this weekend I will not space out in the morning...

In any case, please keep 'em coming!

Thanks Katye. We have our granddaughter's Marine husband who has been going over since the beginning. Was at the statue when they tore it down. He rotates between Afghanistan and Iraq. We have another granddaughter's hubby in the Navy and he will be going in a few months also. We have everything covered but the Air Force.

Oh, Patricia, I can imagine how you must worry about them. I will echo Kate's comment - please let them know how grateful we are for their service and that we support them and pray for them daily.

These are such great pictures. I'm kind of in the same boat as Kate - I don't get home until around 6:45 and so the light isn't much for pictures for me. But I do have some things blooming - hope to get some pictures this weekend.

Anyway, I love to see all of yours!! Kate, I saw your Lagerstroemia 'White Chocolate' last weekend at the nursery and was so tempted. It wasn't blooming, but the foliage is just to do die for. I'm sure that one will eventually make its way to my place . . .

Love the tree faces..wish I had a big tree! I purchased a mini spuce today just to smell until I can get something bigger!!
Willowwind..your peonies are beautiful,as is your garden.

Willow, I love the garden path! What nice landscaping you have!
A couple of my peonies finally popped yesterday, too, the majority are still waiting.
I had forgotten that all of them are pink, from my pink phase, so now they look out of place with all the reds and oranges. There is one red one I put in last year, so it will not bloom for a while.

I saw one of those tree faces at Heidi's, don't think I have ever seen one before, where did you guys find them?

Union, WA(Zone 8b)

Another peony around the flagpole. Neo, I do most of my shopping from catalogs and for the last few years the faces have been in the gardening parts of most of them.

Everything looks so nice. Is that toad real?! or one of the catalogue orders? I was weeding at my mother-in-laws and there was a turtle in her pond that I actually had to touch to make sure it wasn't real.

Your spiderwort is way ahead of mine, but I bought it for the chartreuse leaves anyway.

It's a real frog. I have a lot of them this year. Ones that look like this and only an inch long up to this guy. Some have some green on them. And then the green and gold tree frogs that are so cute. They usually sit in the roses waiting for bugs.
