Neat pics adel!

Hi Margaret, The Red-bellied Woodpeckers nest somewhere not to far from my yard.

A male Harlequin Duck. The pictures were shot under poor lighting, heavily overcast sky. The picture doesn't do justice to the birds true colors.

I walked out on a highway bridge to get these shots. The ducks didn't pay any attention to the highway traffic. As soon as I started to walk on the bridge, the Harlequins started to swim out into Portage Lake. There was a small iceberg near this side of the lake. It had broken off Portage Glacier.

There were two male Harlequins. They finally got close enough together, as they swam away, to get both ducks in the picture.

Wonderful shots everyone. This is a Pacific Black Duck on our Koi pond. Time to start a new thread - see you at DAILY PICS VOL 118

How dissapointing to ONLY see a Bald Eagle......haha. They are so beautiful, I would love to see them EVERY day! I wouldn't mind seeing a white-headed Woodpecker also, though.
