I'd like to plant Italian broad beans and Yellow wax beans this weekend ... is it to late in the season for that?
Is it to late to plant beans?
Most seed packets will tell you days to germination and days to harvest. I think that if your "days to harvest" date works out to being before your average first frost date, then you have nothing to lose. Give it a try!
I wouldn't think it's too late. Where the corn has been flooded out around here the farmers are going to plant soybeans in the corn fields. Garden beans should be okay, maybe not as good a crop as beans planted early spring but still enough for canning.
I'm with KaylyRed. Give it a try.
