I have strawberries that have ripened and I have picked them. There are some though that look like either bugs or birds have gotten to. I was going to spray them for bugs but I wasn't sure of something safe and that works that I could use. Any suggestions???
thank you
Strawberries
I know alot of people that use a wire screen over their strawberries - the birds LOVE them!

Spraying strawberries while they are flowering will kill the bees.
I would never spay fruit that I plan to eat within a few weeks. Just use screening, and be willing to share. As a bee keeper myself, LTilton makes a very important point!
I see some strawberry short cake in your future:-)
Not only the birds like your strawberries, but slugs and snails do also, you can buy very cheep netting (plastic) to cover the strawberries, this allows the bees and other insects into the flowers as they open, but helps to keep the birds at bay, I would always say to anyone using netting's or meshes to make sure the mesh size is small enough to prevent birds or other animals getting trapped in the mesh/net, always check each day just to be on the safe side. never spray fruit or veg you are going to eat unless you actually know what you are spraying as some of them have bad chemicals in them and if not used properly, you will be eating these chemicals, you can buy fruit and veg from the stores that have already been sprayed for you, just be careful what sprays you use. good luck, WeeNel.
