It was so nice to get ourside today....

without the constant dripping! The rains and winds have ruined so many blooms but mother nature left some behind.
Allium Globemaster is hanging in there and the little bee is having fun with it...

that's too bad.... and good! I wish that our fortune here had found it's way up to you as well!

Buckeye, AZ(Zone 9a)

I am in zone 8 and yours says zone 7 and you are warmer than here most of the spring/summer but you have colder winters...go figure?

The first blooms ever of Clematis Piluii (little duckling) the bloom are as big as my hands. This one is some great pink combos...

Last one for today...I just love this Euphorbia Tasmanian Tiger

I lied...lol one more...

I didn't realize when I put up a Chinese and a Japanese Wisteria on this arbor that they leafed and bloomed at a different time...you can see this one is in dire need of another haircut, the other will bloom in about 4 weeks and is lavender...lol

It kind of looks silly right now but it will look better later in the summer the other side fills in too!

It was a good day! I also have most of my windmill painted also....I will paint the blades tomorrow after the glued dowels are good and dry....

My DH decided I needed a windmill and this is the result, I am either going to put it over one of my big dahlias and use it as support or let one of my clematis climb up it...

what a great ide with the wisteria... you have blooms for a longer period :o)

Buckeye, AZ(Zone 9a)

Thanks Anjl, it was a mistake, but a good one! I love to put several different climbers on the same trellis...an early, mid and late clematis are great on an arbor...or different vines together and then throw in an annual climber after the early ones bloom for summer long blooms...ie (morning glory, my favorite)

With all the Dmails Emails And treads, I finally found this, and now I am at a loss for words, and don't know where to start. Carla, to cool.

Buckeye, AZ(Zone 9a)

Thanks so much Tills, you need to get out tomorrow (your only day off...sigh) and take some pictures, it makes you stop and smell the flowers... A casual stroll with a camera and share your property...it is gorgeous!

One my first to do in AM Its always in my pocket.

Port Angeles, WA(Zone 8b)

Ah Carla ~ I definitely have warmth envy. I'm still waiting for a warm day here without drizzle. We're supposed to be in the "rain shadow" and Sequim, just to the east of us, is called the "Blue Hole" because it's not supposed to rain very much here. Guess drizzle doesn't count. It is getting warmer, but still gloomy and damp, so not much new blooming here. Soon I hope. Thanks for the photo tour ~ gives me something to look forward to!

outtamygourd, we had a great day here yesterday (today is overcast again) but maybe it's headed your way??? you should go check out a picture that I took yesterday over on that thread that has the Jeff Foxworthy stuff in the beginning.

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

Is your weather still holding out cocoa?

Buckeye, AZ(Zone 9a)

Outta, it was dripping at your house yesterday?...so sorry, I thought maybe we were headed out of this sh...crap! The weather says more today and tomorrow...who knows after that. I am really ready to buy a ticket to warmth...I wasn't going to leave my gardens this year but I don't think it will hurt them since I can only get out there about once a week anyway...lol

Redchic...No, it is dripping again this morning....will it ever end?...lol and it is only 50 degrees at 10:19....and summer starts in less than 2 weeks...haha

Issaquah, WA(Zone 7a)

Wow Carla, your yard is in bloom and beautiful! Can't believe you have a bud on a dahlia and tomatoes as well. We saw the sun in 5 second intervals about twice yesterday here. At least it didn't rain. Back to light rain with occasional 'light' graying of the otherwise gray skies today. I think I'm in the "rain shadow" of Sequim too LOL.

Buckeye, AZ(Zone 9a)

Thanks Annie,
Boy are you in luck! The one I wasn't sure would come up is up and in a milk jug with your name on it! You will soon be the proud owner of "Pooh" the dahlia, not the bear...lol Now to figure out how you will get it?

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

I'm certainly sorry to hear that Cocoa. Our reprieve is definitely on it's way downhill... the clouds are here and growing. still, not raining yet though! i don't know the temp outside, but... it's quite cool and windy. I know the wind is blowing something in.

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Hey, Carla I think I have lost my Pooh, I have not see it as yet. So Sad
Was given to me by a very good friend.

Carla, everything is gorgeous!
Is the Silverado pale blue, or just the photograph.
I love it!

Mary, I just bought one at Dragonfly, didn't know about such a thing,
and just had to have it. Mine has a splattering of blooms, too, so am hoping
it will have more. I love running my hand across it and smelling the "sunshine".

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

This shot is not so good, the one and only bloom I can see.

Tills,
That noid looks like a yellow butterfly is in there...lol great picture! Annie had a list for me to check as I was out buying tubers early this spring, the only one I found was "Pooh" and it looked doubtful, I put it in a milk jug (I had ran out of pots and was making my own) and lo and behold it has sprouted and looks very healthy! Keep the pictures coming, I am not about to go outside today! Not worth the pain! Wind is blowing so hard it is knocking things over outside again!

Neo,
Thanks for the compliment, it is definately that color...the picture is true...is it blue to lavender to silver...thus the name. I have a hard time with blues and greens...lol they say I am colorblind to them but I know what I see! and it has never stopped me from describing a color. Here is another shot on another day with a very dark purple...does it still look the same to you?

Thumbnail by cocoajuno
Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

It looks to me that a drop of purple was dropped in the white paint.
Love that shade.

I tried the macro setting, not to sure about it yet.

does anyone know the name of vine that has a bright fuschia flower on it? I see it everywhere here... but cant find it in plant files or my nursery... the bright fuschia flowers almost completely cover all the green foilage.
I guess I should take my camera with me and get a picture? lol might help!

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

What does the flower look like?

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

well, I'm blind so unless I climb a trellis....
I think its a small flower, but grows in bunches and bunches, so it covers all the green.
I think I'll take my super duper camera to work tomorrow and take a pix. I really want this vine to grow on my new arbor...
