Hi all sorry if this is in the wrong section.I this cheese plant as shown in pic,it is about 6 feet tall and is placed near a window which has sun in the afternoon. The problem is that it does not seem to form any new leaves and the ones it does have are going brown i have not repotted it in years and am wondering if this is the problem any help would be welcome.
cheese plant help
Can you post a picture that shows the whole plant including the pot? That will help with the question of whether it needs a larger pot or not. If you haven't repotted in years, then at the very least you ought to change out the potting mix and put fresh stuff in. I don't grow these so I can't comment on whether your afternoon sun location is good for it or not.
I agree it needs repotted in fresh soil.It really doesn't need a lot of sun.A little is fine, but not hot direct sunlight like near a west or south window. In your picture,it appears it may have root damage, unless it is very badly scorched. When you repot, you may find you have mostly roots and little soil.I would cut off all of the brown leaves and pinch it back to the last healthy leaf node.Lynn
