This is the first year I've planted caladiums. They were the fancy leafed mixed kind. I was really hoping for some red and pink ones, but so far they're all white. However, I've noticed that where the stem meets the leaf, there is a bit of red. As days go on, I've also noticed more red around the veins. Its a small amount, but I was kind of hoping maybe this is how the ones with pink or red on them progress? Or, am I just getting my hopes up? Thanks for any help.

Caladium coloring question
I planted my first ones this year too but that sounds not quite right to me. I hope someone posts for you. I am curious.
I didn't think it was right either, but the red does seem to be spreading a little bit. I'm not sure what is going on. I've also noticed that now some of the newer leaves are all green. A few of these are the white ones, but I had planted four in a large pot, and I believe on three have came up. I think a few of the green leaves are from the fourth one. Maybe those will turn red?! lol. Hope I get some red or pink somewhere.......
