I bought some Arum tubers in March, and they are sprouting for me indoors. One has a leaf about 3" tall, the other is just poking its head out. I'm not sure when to put these out in the garden. I know they must be too small yet, but don't know whether to plant them in the fall or keep them indoors for another year. I'm in zone 6 (considered 5 I think in the States).

When to plant Arum seedlings
Are they Arum Italica? Many arums would not survive an outdoor winter in your zone.Lynn
Yes, they are. I think they are supposed to be OK in the Toronto area.
It should be okay to plant them now. They may sulk a little, but will perk up.In some areas they are invasive.I grow mine in poor soil on the dry side. When an extra one comes up,I just move it,regardless of time of year or pull it.I'm zone 5a and right know mine have formed their pulpit growth and later I'll see orange "berry" stalks.Lynn
