I found this growing near a creek by my house, to me it looks like some type of Iris. Can someone help me to identify it?
Plant ID
Looks like a Louisiana Iris.
JoeyT,
I used to live in Montgomery, AL; where is Lincoln? By the way, your specimens are beautiful. Dee
How tall is it? It looks like it could be a siberian iris.
Lincoln Alabama is a couple of miles from the talladega race track (nascar), Pell city and anniston are the next two towns, about 1 hour from birmingham and 1 hour 20 mins from montgomery.
The plant is at least 12 inches tall maybe even a little taller. I thought it was very pretty.
Looks like a Siberian Iris to me but don't know which one. Can you post to the Iris forum. They really know their irises.
