I planted a santa rosa plum tree late february/early march while dormant. It's very much awake now (like 8.5' tall)...It's supposed to flower during the later part of may- mine hasn't. Will it not flower the first year I plant it? Or is mine just being lazy?
Thanks!
Timothy
question about my 'santa rosa' plum tree
A lot of trees and shrubs take a couple years to really get going on the flowers. So if you just planted it and it doesn't bloom this year I wouldn't worry too much.
As long as the greenery is healthy, there isn't any reason to worry. Alot of shrubs do take a couple of years to get going.
