June Blooms (Starting May 30th)
Jackieshar ~ what a microclimate you must be in... my plants are well behind yours. No soapwort blooms here yet but thanks for sharing yours.
Pretty blooms& beds Bobyrd! I am not much ID help but I would say yes, that appears to be a LA iris, are you still enjoying its' blooms. Mine is done.
WOW Debbie! That's an amazing bloom!
thanks Stepanie and its not even open all the way yet
=)
Podster,
No, mine has finished blooming too. It was done in April. I have some others that I planted several years ago but they have yet to bloom. I don't know what is wrong with them. Maybe I need to move them to another location. They are under trees and only get afternoon filtered shade.
Placenciarita,
I really like your alliums. Did you start them from seeds? If from plants where did you get them?
Bonnie
Pod..I don't think it's my climate.....most of east Texas has acidic soils. That's why the dogwood, azaleas, magnolia, gardenia, peony, pines, and so many other beauties will grow there and not here in my alkaline soils........We gardeners just have to learn to work with what we have and like it....I can amend with 2 cu ft of peat moss and still the water is so alkaline it defeats the purpose...........
placenciarita, I am also intrigued by the alliums. Even the Hair. I think I might order. What do you think of the one 5 feet high and 10 inches round!
Beautiful blooms everyone. I am delaying the trip into weedland.
banana18, were you refering to the Squill bulb, I did buy one but it is just sitting there, doing nothing.
sorry wrong answer. Wrong bulb (I am a goober), but I do intend to buy a few giant bulbs this fall.
I do not know how to delete pictures.
