I would like to buy two of these and have know idea what they are called.
Please help me identify this shrub/bush
They are geraniums. Don't know the cultivar, though.
When kwanjin said geraniums she meant hardy (true) geraniums, specifically Geranium sanguinium as opposed to zonal (not hardy) geraniums (Pelargonium). The one in the picture could be just the species or maybe the cultivar 'Max Frei'.
You can easily divide hardy geranium and not have to purchase another plant. Now is a good time, or fall. The heart of summer is too hot.
If this is the first year that you've grown hardy geranium, you should know that it's normal for them to drop most of the flowers you see now, and sporadically produce a few on and off for the remainder of the season. Nothing is wrong with the plant if this happens. The other type of geraniums mentioned above will usually consistantly flower all season long.
