roses

Hello,
Does anybody know what is wrong with my roses ? They are blooming fine, but leaves on the bottom turn yellow with some spots on them and fall off.
I fertilized, sprayed, they have plenty of sun, plenty of water... Nothing helps...
I have other rose bushes, which I don't even touch: I don't fertilize, don't spray, my dogs ocassionally pee on them ! But they are doing terrific ! Been for 2 years, producing huge fragrant flowers. Is it "too much love will kill you" is happening ?

That would be your standard black spot. It's a very common problem on roses and some cultivars are more suseptible than others. The good news is, you can spray them with a number of fungicides including Liquid Copper, Daconil and Fungonil. Before you spray, you should remove all of the leaves that have the spots (including the green ones) and clean up any leaves that have fallen on the ground. Also, avoid getting the leaves wet when you water the plants in the future. Don't worry, they look terrible right now but they'll recover.

Thank you so much !

Tanyusha Is right and ONe other point don't water late in th evening. Leaving water on the leaves also cause this problem. A bannana peel by the rose bush is also good for the roses. My Aunt uses her used coffee around them and they are beautiful.
