I have Provence lavender in a pot and I don't have any blooms. What time of year do they bloom and how do I encourage them to bloom? Should I cut them back or allow them to grow tall?

I'd put it outside, mine bloom best with full sun and hot days. They also like things on the drier side, so if you're watering it a lot that won't help it either. I really think it'll be happiest if you put it outside for the summer though. If you decide to do that, make sure you acclimate it gradually to the higher amounts of light outside--let it sit outside in the shade for a few hours, then work up to more time outside and start adding in sun until it's adjusted. Otherwise if you just dump it out in the sun the leaves will burn. If you plan to keep it inside, put it in your brightest window, that'll give you the best chance (but if it's been in a darker location for a while, you may want to adjust it gradually to the higher light levels) As far as bloom time, I have a bunch of different kinds of lavenders, some of them have been blooming for a couple months now, some just started blooming, and others have buds, so now's about the right time of year to expect bloom to start.
It gets about 3 or 4 hours of sun every day sitting on my back porch and we are in the hot humid no rain good ole Southeast so I think maybe it will do good. I would like to move it outside so thanks for the advice on how to go about that. I am glad to know that it likes full sun and hot days. I feel encouragad that it will bloom for me eventually after hearing about all of the different ones you have and their bloom times.
