home and landscape in MN
Hi badzy, just picked up your thread on the site, you are right of course, you do not have to spend a lot of money on landscaping, but a lot depends on your climate, your knowledge and what type of plants you want to grow, if it is vegetables you are growing, all your expense is for seeds, if you want shrubs, these take years from seeds, so they have to be bought from the grower or garden supplier, trees are costly in a lot of countries as they are normally imported and grass/lawn care and planting can be expensive depending on the upkeep, also garden tools and equipment can be costly, again depending on the size of garden, the type of garden and the amount of time you have to spend caring for the garden, so I do agree with you in as much as gardening does not have to cost you a lot of money, but for some people in some parts of the world, it can cost more than a few bits of string and for some, the creativity is not something that comes natural to them, but usually once they get started it comes easier. good luck and happy gardening to from someone in UK.
