Help with Marguerite Daisy

I received a potted Marguerite Daisy for Mother's Day and it is beautiful! I planted it in a bed that receives partial sun. The plant is actually pretty big and I am worried that it may get crowded quick. (It was root-bound in the pot) Is it safe to divide the plant and move them? Also, any care on this plant would be appreciated. Thank you!
