I really hate saying this, but I didn't know that minibelle was blooming until I was watering and moving plants around yesterday.....sorry Julia:-). The smell is much stonger at night!!

May flowas Part 2
Blooming now is what I think is a compacta Krinkle 8, It didn't come with a name when I got it last year.
My Multiflora, Bella and Lacunosa have been blooming for a couple months now but I don't really count them since they're blooming most of the time.
Serpens is covering itself with penduncles, can't wait for it to bloom.
This is my first attempt at posting a picture so I hope it works.
Jo
Awanda, I Love that Mini Belle. is that a hard one to grow? Can you post a picture of the foliage? That is a really nice bloom - aaah, I love the fragrant ones, like icing on the cake!
Beautiful foliage, Plantlady. I envy you folks who can grow hoyas outdoors!
Julia
Thanks Julia, I'm not so great with the camera. My hoyas are just the more common variety. Since joining DG I have learned that there are so many gorgeous ones out there, both foliage and blooms. It seems like every day someone here is posting about a new one that I've never heard of and showing their gorgeous photo's and my "wish" list gets longer and longer. I keep saying I am going to downsize because I have waay too many plants - not hoyas, but all kinds of house plants. It is hard to stick to just one kind.
I have one K. Queen or something that a dear (since departed) elderly friend gave me back in the mid 70's and I always only knew it as the wax plant ... new nothing about the name hoya until DG. I have a few hoyas that are the exotic angel plants purchased at Home Depot and I have a few small ones I've gotten in trades here in the garden, H. multiflora being one of them. A friend in Texas gave me H. Imperialis this past fall and it is growing like crazy. I sat it in one of those self watering african violet pots and now roots are growing out the bottom so I guess I will need to repot it before long. I can't wait to see blooms on it someday! I went in on that DL order and got six cuttings ... all but one survived and have taken root so I am very happy about that!
I feel very fortunate to be able to grow so much stuff outside almost year round. If we have a few real cold nights I do haul a lot of things inside but for the most part they just get all bunched together on the deck and covered with old blankets. Thankfully we don't have much cold weather.
I love everyone's photo's of their beautiful hoya's ... keep em coming!
Thank you for that photo of Mini Belle's foliage, Awanda as well as your other beauties! ummm ... wish computers had the ability to transmit fragrance! ^_^
Wow, Awanda...how big is your greenhouse? You make me want to pack up and leave the city for a town where land is cheap and I can have a small cottage and a BIG greenhouse! Is that H cagayanesis really a H. padangensis?
Funny, I have a H. incrassata (from Mel originally) which is flowering-size but never blooms...wonder if it is related to the crassicaulis?
My obovata, motoskei and mathilde are budding up again as well...
Julia
My greenhouse is 9x12. I believe H. incrassata and crassicaulis are one in the same. My sp. Chicken Farm is almost ready to bloom, I just hope it doesn't open while we're in Vegas for our granddaughter's graduation!
Blessings,
Awanda

Ah, thanks for the update, Awanda. I need to change my plants tags...I can't keep up with all the name changes.
Gorgeous colors,Sunshine. I put my H. lobbii in higher light to see if the bloom color will change from maroon to more orange....
Julia
Oooh, I love the color of that H. lobbii. Very nice bloom Sunshine!
So, if you put it in more intense light the bloom color will change? Never knew that ... is that true of all hoya blooms?
Was the issue with H. cagayanesis and H. padangensis or H. cagayanesis and H. pimenteliana? I think it may be the latter as I still have padangensis on my "must have" list!
Just checked DL's catalog - here's an excerpt:
"The plant we have sold as Hoya pimenteliana is the same plant
as Schlechter’s unpublished Hoya cayaganensis which was Described by Burton in the Hoyan, vol.8, #4. 2, b in 1987.
Examination of the Holotype sheet, Bureau of Science No.-7374, confirmed this determination. As this publication precedes
that of H. pimenteliana it has precedence."
Thanks for the correction, senior moment:-).
Blessings,
Awanda
Oh, trust me, Awanda- had all of them not appeared on my want list at one time, I never would have noticed!
In the Spring DL order, I ordered a cutting of IML 1600 H. pimenteliana and it came with a label of H. cagayanensis.
At first I thought they had substituted for the one I ordered but since learned it is one and the same. Unfortunately, that is the one out of the six cuttings I ordered that was totally dead on arrival.
Ohhhh....the DL cuttings. I've not had much success with those cuttings. Pretty disappointing after having 100% success rate with rooting up until then.
I thought I was going to lose all 6 of mine when they first arrived. First I potted them in soil, then I took them out of soil and put them all in water, then ended up taking them out of water and potting them up in my hoya mix. They looked pretty pitiful for a few weeks but finally put out roots! The cagayanensis was dead on arrival ... I guess they went through a lot during their travels and had a fungus or something upon reaching the mainland U.S. and had to be treated before they could be shipped to the person who mailed them to each of us. I am just so glad that five of the six survived!
Thanks everyone.
Ric & awanda, nice flowers and photos.
Jan
Finally after seven years I have a peduncle on this pubicalyx. I don't know which one. I think it may be Pink Silver. Anybody know which one it is?

Loving all these Gorgeous Blooms!
Awands, what is meant by reverse Kerrii? I'm a newbie to hoyas and I have a small cutting of Kerrii ... just curious as to what you mean by reverse.
That Chicken Farm flower bud is cool looking? What color is the bloom on that one?
Imadigger: Oh, I sure hope that's what H. pink silver will look like! I have one that I got in a trade labeled silver pink ... don't have a clue what it will look like when it blooms but would dearly love one with that beautiful pink bloom!
Julia: That cinnamomifolia is so pretty ... I love the colors on that one!
